About

Magdalena Mora is an award-winning illustrator and graphic designer with a degree in English and Studio Art from Macalester College.  She has illustrated a number of children’s books including Pura Belpré Honor Award-winning books The Notebook Keeper, written by Stephen Briseño, and Still Dreaming/Seguimos Soñando, written by Claudia Martinez. Her clients include: The American Swedish Institute, Penguin/Random House, Chronicle Books, NPR, Simon & Schuster, Macmillan, and the Virginia Quarterly Review. 

Magdalena grew up between Chicago, Texas, and Mexico and is now based in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she can be found reading, cooking, and working in her ceramics studio.
